The Club’s 2018 AGM was held on Monday 26 November at Gortacladdy and was the best-attended in many years with some 70 people taking part. Whilst the meeting heard a series of positive reports on many aspects of the Club’s business, the bitter disappointment of the still-raw relegation to Junior football hung over the evening.
Most of the discussion focused on what now needs to be done to improve our adult men’s football performance and this will continue as the main agenda item at the new 2019 Committee’s first meeting on Monday next, 3 December at 8.00pm in Gortacladdy.
Off the field significant progress continues to be made on our new Ionad Pobail Chill Dreasa development at Gortacladdy, though government’s inability and/or unwillingness to provide meaningful support for a badly-needed project remains very frustrating for our community.
At the end of a very vigorous meeting, the Kildress Gaels elected to manage the Club’s business for 2019 were:
· President: Matt Tracey, Vice-Presidents: Mickey Loughran, Sean McCullagh, John-Joe Quinn, John Nugent, Fr Hughes, Fr O’Donnell
