The first fund-raiser for our hugely ambitious new project, the building of a new Kildress community hub, ‘Ionad Pobail Chill Dreasa’, was officially launched last week at the iconic Kildress location of Beaghmore Stone Circles.
Next February local Gael Barry Conway will take ten days to do a sponsored trek of the 200 miles of Ulster’s Appalachian Trail, from Donegal to Larne, passing through Counties Donegal, Tyrone, Derry and Antrim. The original Appalachian Trail runs through 14 States in the USA and its ‘Ulster Chapter’ was set up here in 2011. Barry can be sponsored by the mile, by the Stage (there are ten in total) or for his entire trek.
