Kildress had Clogher as visitors for the latest round of the All-County League Division Two. Both teams needed points for survival, and it was the Tones who came out on top after a great battle. The first half was very even with a half time score of five points each.

Clogher took the initiative early in the second period hitting a goal and two points to take a four-point lead by the three-quarter stage. However, the home side finished strongly with a number of well worked scores, most notably a superb goal from Shea Quinn.  Second half substitute Shea Murphy helped to calm the nerves with two late points from play.

Best for the winners were Cormac Loughran, Calum Holland and Niall Connolly in defence while up front Oisin McDonald, Shea Quinn and Philly Lennon stood out in a good attacking unit.

Reserve League – Kildress 2-18 Clogher 0-4

The Reserves completed their unbeaten league season against Clogher with an impressive display to wrap up the League Title. The Tones where presented with their title ahead of the game and this was the perfect start to a powerful display.

Captain Ryan Gillen led the way in the forwards and was well supported by Ryan Conway, Odhran O’Driscoll and Eoin Brannigan. Oggy Quinn went through a mountain of running in midfield until injury ended his evening early. This was a fine team performance from all the players and great credit must go to Clogher for making the early trip on a Friday evening to fulfil the fixture.
