The Wolfe Tones got off to a good start in this one with an early goal from debutant Oisin McDonald who blasted home a goal in the second minute after good work by Shea Tracey. Kildress maintained the lead for most of the half with Pauric Lagan, Shea Quinn and Corey Holland all weighing in with well taken points. The home team finished the half strongly with a few pointed frees to lead 0-9 to 1-4. The second half was mostly one way traffic with Moortown in control and running out convincing winners. Conor McAleer in goal, Niall Connolly and Jack Loughran were best in defence while up front Oisin McDonald, Corey Holland and Shea Tracey tried hard.

Meanwhile the Reserves continued their impressive season with a tough fought win against a strong home side. The team was captained by Darren Devlin on the night, and they had good performances from Kiernan Devlin in goals, Aaron Keenan and the returning Chrissy McKenna in defence. MJ Connolly put in a powerhouse display for the hour at midfield and all the forwards contributed well to the scoring, Ryan Gillen contributing 2 classy goals, Ryan Conway and Oggy Quinn where impressive whilst Matty Mullin was the pick of the replacements who all contributed strongly to the victory.
