Intermediate League – Moy 2-15 Kildress 1-10

Kildress senior men tasted defeat for the first time this season when they fell short to a strong Moy side away on Friday night. It’s a game Kildress will be able to take a lot from as unfortunately a lot off the Moy scores came from turnovers, so Kildress were well in this game taken those aside. Kildress started the game strongly with points from Shea Tracey and Shea Quinn from distance, but the Moy pounced to respond with 2 quick fire goals. Shea Quinn and Shea Murphy tagged on another few points to keep a goal between the sides. Approaching half time Conor McAleer stopped a certain Moy goal brilliantly and Kildress went up the other end where Shea Quinn beat his man to finish to the roof off the net.

Half time Score Kildress 1-5 v 2-5 Moy

Second half started brightly with Pauric Lagan scoring a fine individual point and Conor Quinn landing one from distance to leave the minimum between the sides. Unfortunately, that was as close as it got with the Moy tagging on a number of points. Kildress did try to fight back with scores from Cormac Loughran and Caolan McNamee, but it wasn’t to be. Kildress did have good performances from Jack Loughran, Shea Tracey and Shea Quinn amongst others.
